Diane Tuft

Diane Tuft,  fotógrafa estadounidense con sede en Nueva York, recientemente publicó su libro  The Arctic Melt: Images of a Disappearing Landscape, un bellísimo trabajo fotográfico que se llevó a cabo durante los años 2015 y 2016, en el que expone los cambios en el Océano Ártico debido al calentamiento global.

Otros trabajos previos de la fotógrafa incluyen el libro  Gondwana: Images of an Ancient Land que muestra los efectos de la radiación ultravioleta e infrarroja en el paisaje de la Antártida; otro de sus trabajos es Unseen: Beyond the visible spectrum, colección que presenta paisajes en el Oeste Americano capturados a través de una frecuencia de luz imperceptible para el ojo humano.

Tuft es reconocida por lograr capturar algo que no es percibido fácilmente, esto es “la belleza y la fragilidad de nuestro entorno”. La neoyorkina logra crear conciencia mostrando paisajes no tan cotidianos con colores y texturas difíciles de encontrar en el entorno cotidiano.

Diane Tuft is an american photographer based on New York. Recently, she published his book The Arctic Melt: Images of a Disappearing Landscape, a beautiful photographic work  made during 2015 and 2016, where she exposes the changes occurred in The Artic, due to global warming.

Previously, the new yorker had published other works, like Gondwana: Images of an Ancient Land, in this book she shows the effects of ultraviolent and infrared radiation in The Artic; likewise, Unseen: Beyond the visible spectrum is a collection of American West landscapes captured with light frequencies that human eye can’t perceive.

Diane Truft is renowned by his interest in portraying the things that are not easily perceived, like “the beauty and the fragility of our world”. The great impact of this photographer is to make aware people of the damage of global warming by showing unfamiliar landscapes, with textures and forms difficult to find.
