Michael Wolf

El fotógrafo alemán Michael Wolf publicó en 2010 el libro Tokio Compression, una colección que retrata el día a día de la gente en el metro de Tokio. En este libro Wolf exhibe la incomodidad de miles de personas, quienes se transportan a diario en el metro de la capital nipona. Algunos de sus retratados son hombres y mujeres que viajan, con el rostro aplastado, miembros contraídos, impacientes por llegar a tiempo al trabajo.

El fotoperiodista también es conocido por haber presentado otras series fotográficas de naturaleza vouyerista, tal es el caso de Architectur of Density, 100×100 y Transparent City, en estas  series el fotógrafo muestra su manera de ver la vida moderna en las grandes ciudades.

German photographer Michael Wolf published in 2010 a book called Compression. The book portrays the daily life of Tokyo subway, with the hundred of thousands of people traveling across the city. Some of the photographs are of people who travel, probably to their jobs, the face pressed against the windows, the bodies crushing between some other’s bodies, impatient to arrive early at the office.

The photojournalist is also known for having worked other photographic series of voyeuristic nature, like Architectur of Density, 100×100 y Transparent City. All of these series had in common the representation of modern life in great cities around the world.
